We are looking for an intern to join our passionate, dynamic team to assist with Donor and Field Partner Relations.

W4 (https://www.w4.org) is an international not-for-profit organization (and the first crowdfunding platform in Europe) dedicated to girls’ and women’s empowerment around the world, in both developing and developed countries, with a focus on Sustainable Development Goal 5b: “Enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology (ICT), to promote the empowerment of women”.

W4 works to promote girls’ and women’s equal access to and participation in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) by providing girls and women with access to ICTs and digital skills training, ranging from digital literacy to advanced, specialized IT training, to promote women’s formal employment, notably in the tech sector, and tech-based entrepreneurship. W4 also supports pioneering projects that innovatively harness digital technologies to protect girls’ and women’s human rights.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

Position: Donor and Field Partner Relations Assistant « Stage conventionné »
Location : Paris 3ème, France
Duration/Starting date : 6 months – as soon as possible
Weekly schedule : Full-time (5 days/week i.e. 35 hours per week) or part-time

MISSIONS

Assisting with Donor Relations Management:

  • drafting donor relations correspondence (follow-up correspondence, replies to enquiries, diverse communication materials);
  • conducting research, collating data and drafting donor impact reports (individual donors and corporate/institutional funders);
  • designing, implementing and tracking specific fundraising campaigns;
  • drafting communication materials and generating content for specific donor cultivation campaigns, communication campaigns and events.

Assisting with Field Partner Relations & Field Program Management:

  • assist the field program manager in liaising with W4’s field partners in various countries (future and current) and overseeing the management of W4’s field programs (participating in meetings/Skype calls; drafting meeting minutes; coordinating follow-up)
  • collation of data and updating of field program country data;
  • collation of data and information for field program due diligence purposes;
  • crafting field program descriptions to be published on the W4 platform;
  • periodic desk research relating to field partner/field program prospection;
  • drafting and generating content regarding W4’s field programs for communication purposes (W4 platform; blog articles; W4 social media; events).

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education:

  • High-ranking Masters-level degree from leading university (Humanitarian, Business and Management, Law/Economics, Social/Political Sciences).

Competencies:

  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Capacity to establish priorities and respect deadlines
  • Capacity to work autonomously and be a strong team player
  • Previous experience in a multicultural environment preferable
  • Previous experience in the development/humanitarian sector preferable (and/or a keen interest in these domains)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • We are looking for a new colleague who is hard-working, enthusiastic, ambitious, keen to learn, highly conscientious, and, of course, with a good sense of humor
